I don’t play golf or understand the rules of golf. Can I still volunteer?
Yes, golf knowledge is not required for a number of the volunteer positions. The various volunteer position descriptions are listed below.
Is there a minimum age for volunteers?
Yes, you must be at least 18 years of age.
Do I have to wear a uniform?
There will be “Event Staff” vests that we will provide you with, the day of the event. Each volunteer will be required to wear these.
We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes, including tennis shoes (to protect the golf greens).
How do I know what my volunteer position responsibilities are?
There will be a required volunteer meeting the week prior to the event. (date, time & place to be announced).

Volunteer Positions
Mobile Host:
Each “Mobile Host” would be assigned a golf cart. They would be responsible for running various errands around the course, club house, and parking lot. Which might include transporting golfers to designated holes. No walking would be required,
Hospitality Tent:
The hosts in the hospitality tent would be responsible for checking in golfers and providing them with their official tickets, booklet, and other information as needed. The Hospitality Tent will be located between the parking lot and the club house and is the first point of contact as people arrive.
Challenge Check-In Host:
There will be Check-In tent located near the tee box at every event (hole). The Check-In Host will be responsible for checking in each golfer prior to playing that event.
Tee Box Official:
Requires some golf knowledge.
Manages the tee box. Make sure the golfer tees the ball up in the tee box (within the boundary of the tee box). Make sure that there is only 1 golfer on the tee box at a time. Holds up the “Quiet Please Sign” while the golfer is teeing off / putting.
Down Line Official:
Requires some golf knowledge.
Responsible for officially marking the position of the ball in the fairway or green and measuring the distance from the target. Will retrieve balls from the fairway or green.
Official Scorekeeper:
Requires some golf knowledge.
Will be located near the tee box and will work in tandem with the “Down Line Official(s)” and will record the official score of each golfer. These scores will then be forwarded to the Club House.
Setup Crew:
Will be responsible for setting up and taking down the equipment for the “Hot Shot Golf Challenge”, which includes tents, tables, chairs, signs, etc. Some walking and lifting is required.
Advanced Ticket Sales:
Will be responsible for meeting people and selling tickets/collecting money for the Event Tickets, Prairie Trails Raffle Tickets, Pebble Beach Raffle Tickets.
