2006 Event Rules

General Rules:

  • All Golfers must have a valid “Event Ticket”.
  • All “Event Tickets” must be purchased on or before the deadline of Thursday, 6/11/2026.
  • “Late Event Tickets” may be purchased after the deadline, but prior to the start of that Round (9:00 or 1:00).
  • “Late Ticket” holders will not be allowed to play in the 4 insured challenges (Holes 3 & 6 “Hole in One”, Greens 2 & 9 “Putting”).  They can play in any of the other 6 Challenges.
  • All Golfers must check in at the registration tent 1 hour prior to playing in that round.
  • The format will be a shotgun start.
  • All Golfers must be at their starting event prior to the stated start time (9:00, 1:00).  TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!
  • All Golfers must be 18 years of age or older.
  • NOTE: Please be aware any monies or anything of monetary value that you receive resulting from participating in the “Hot Shot Golf Challenge” could affect your amateur status.
  • Any taxes that might be incurred as a result of winning cash and / or prizes at the “Hot Shot Golf Challenge” are the sole responsibility of the golfer. 
  • All Golfers must be of amateur status (not be classified as a golf professional).
  • All Golfers must provide their own golf clubs & golf balls.
  • All golf balls must conform to USGA standards.
  • It is the responsibility of each Golfer to review and be familiar with the rules of the event and each Challenge.
  • In the “Qualifying” rounds (9:00 & 1:00), each Golfer will have only 1 shot plus 1 Mulligan if purchased (documented by a Mulligan Ticket).
  • In the “Final” rounds, each Golfer will have only 1 shot.  Mulligans will not be allowed. 

Hole-In-One Rules: (Hole #3 & Hole #6)

  • Each Golfer must check in at this challenge prior to playing the hole.
  • Hole #3 – In both the “Qualifying” rounds and the “Final” round, it will be a 165 yd shot from the tee box to the pin.
  • Hole #6 – In both the “Qualifying” rounds and the “Final” round, it will be a 135 yd shot from the tee box to the pin.
  • In both the “Qualifying” rounds and the “Final” round, the ball must be teed up in the tee box as designated.
  • In both the “Qualifying” rounds and the “Final” round, a Golfer may hit either with a tee or without a tee.
  • In both the “Qualifying” rounds and the “Final” round, a Golfer may tee off with any club in their golf bag.
  • In the “Qualifying” rounds, the hole is capped (there will not be any hole-in-ones).
  • In the “Qualifying” rounds the closest to the pin distance is determined by the official (edge of the ball facing the hole to the front edge of the hole).
  • At the end of the 2 “Qualifying” rounds, the top 5 closest to the pin shots will advance those Golfers to the “Final” round.
  •  In the event of a tie at the end of the 2 “Qualifying” rounds, there will be a shoot off prior to the “Final” event, in order to determine the 5 finalists.
  • In the “Final” round(s) the pin placement will be different from the qualifying rounds, providing a different trajectory. 
  • In the “Final” round(s), all golf shots will be witnessed and recorded on video.
  • In the “Final” round(s), any or all of the five Golfers that make a legitimate hole-in-one will be awarded the prize money.
  • Hole #3 – Hole-In-One prize is a $1 million 20-year annuity per winner.
  • Hole #6 – Hole-In-One prize is $250,000 cash per winner.

50 ft Putt Rules: (Hole 9 Green)

  • Each Golfer must check in at this challenge prior to playing the hole.
  • In both the “Qualifying” rounds and the “Final” round; a Golfer must use a putter.
  • In the “Qualifying” rounds the closest to the pin distance is determined by the official (edge of the ball facing the hole to the front edge of the hole).
  • At the conclusion of the 2 “Qualifying” rounds the top 5 players will advance to the “Final” qualifying round.
  • The 5 players in the final “Qualifying” round will be narrowed down to 1 player (closest to the pin), who will advance to the “Final” round.
  • The putt in the “Final” round will be a different trajectory (new PIN placement). This player will be shooting for the prize (new SUV).
  • In the “Final” round, the 1 putt will be witnessed and recorded on video.
  • In the “Final” round, only 1 golfer will be awarded the prize when the putt is successfully made.
  • Hole #9 Green – 50′ Putt prize is a new $50,000 SUV.

50 ft Putt Rules: (Hole 2 Green)

  • Each Golfer must check in at this challenge prior to playing the hole.
  • In both the “Qualifying” rounds and the “Final” round; a Golfer must use a putter.
  • In the “Qualifying” rounds the closest to the pin distance is determined by the official (edge of the ball facing the hole to the front edge of the hole).
  • At the conclusion of the 2 “Qualifying” rounds the top 5 players will advance to the “Final” qualifying round.
  • The 5 players in the final “Qualifying” round will be narrowed down to 1 player (closest to the pin), who will advance to the “Final” round.
  • The putt in the “Final” round will be a different trajectory (new PIN placement). This player will be shooting for the prize (new Golf Cart).
  • In the “Final” round, the 1 putt will be witnessed and recorded on video.
  • In the “Final” round, only 1 golfer will be awarded the prize when the putt is successfully made.
  • Hole #2 Green – 50′ Putt prize is a new Golf Cart.

Longest Drive Rules: (Hole 9)

  • Each Golfer must check in at this challenge prior to playing the hole.
  • The ball must be teed up in the tee box as designated.
  • The golf ball must end up in the fairway as designated.
  • The top 3 golfers (winners) will be determined as a result of the 2 qualifying rounds.
  • In the event of a tie at the end of the 2 “Qualifying” rounds, the prize money of the places involved in the tie will be equally divided between the tying golfers. 
  • Hole #9 – payout is cash in the top 3 places ($1,000, $500, $100).

Closest to the Line Rules: (Hole 5)

  • Each Golfer must check in at this challenge prior to playing the hole.
  • The ball must be teed up in the tee box as designated.
  • The line will be in the center of the fairway starting approximately 175 yds from the tee box and running up to the edge of the green.
  • The 3 golf balls closest to the designated center line in the fairway will be the winners.
  • The top 3 golfers (winners) will be determined as a result of the 2 qualifying rounds.
  • In the event of a tie at the end of the 2 “Qualifying” rounds, the prize money of the places involved in the tie will be equally divided between the tying golfers. 
  • Hole #5 – payout is cash in the top 3 places ($1,000, $500, $100).

Chipping Contest Closest to the Pin Rules: (Hole 7)

  • Each Golfer must check in at this challenge prior to playing the hole.
  • The ball must be shot from the designated area.
  • The ball cannot be teed up.
  • The top 3 golfers (winners) will be determined as a result of the 2 qualifying rounds.
  • In the event of a tie at the end of the 2 “Qualifying” rounds, the prize money of the places involved in the tie will be equally divided between the tying golfers.
  • Hole #7 – payout is cash in the top 3 places ($1,000, $500, $100).

Sand Trap Closest to the Pin Rules: (Hole 4)

  • Each Golfer must check in at this challenge prior to playing the hole.
  • The ball must be placed in the designated area in the sand trap.
  • A rake will be available, if you wish to rake the sand prior to your shot.
  • The top 3 golfers (winners) will be determined as a result of the 2 qualifying rounds.
  • In the event of a tie at the end of the 2 “Qualifying” rounds, the prize money of the places involved in the tie will be equally divided between the tying golfers.
  • Hole #4 – payout is cash in the top 3 places ($1,000, $500, $100).

150 yd Fairway Shot Closest to the Pin (Hole 1)

  • Each Golfer must check in at this challenge prior to playing the hole.
  • The ball must be shot from the designated area.
  • The ball cannot be teed up.
  • The top 3 golfers (winners) will be determined as a result of the 2 qualifying rounds.
  • In the event of a tie at the end of the 2 “Qualifying” rounds, the prize money of the places involved in the tie will be equally divided between the tying golfers.
  • Hole #1 – payout is cash in the top 3 places ($1,000, $500, $100).

100 yd Fairway Shot Closest to the Pin (Hole 8)

  • Each Golfer must check in at this challenge prior to playing the hole.
  • The ball must be shot from the designated area.
  • The ball cannot be teed up.
  • The top 3 golfers (winners) will be determined as a result of the 2 qualifying rounds.
  • In the event of a tie at the end of the 2 “Qualifying” rounds, the prize money of the places involved in the tie will be equally divided between the tying golfers.
  • Hole #8 – payout is cash in the top 3 places ($1,000, $500, $100).
