Prairie Trails named for the native grass in Kansas and the Emporia Wagon Trail that runs through the golf course.  This trail was the Stagecoach & Freight Trail between Wichita and Emporia Kansas in the 1870’s.  Prairie Trails has long been recognized as one of the best Open-to-the-Public golf courses in the state of Kansas.
